Expertise in Teaching: Contemporary art history: worked with artists worldwide, taught on World Campus Afloat (selected as outstanding teacher in 1968), as curator took Texas artist’s exhibition to the Czech Republic, created an innovative children’s museum in the elementary schools in Waco, Texas (selected by ABC Television as one of three featured programs nationally). Art management: taught courses in management to American museum professionals and in the country of Georgia, 2001-2003 as a Fulbright Scholar. Selected as a Fulbright/Hays Scholar to China in 1965 and Fulbright Senior Specialist in 2003 and 2004 for multiple countries.

Museum and Arts Management: headed and directed six museums (two universities and four private) and five university fine arts departments, 1961-2000. Consultant to international museums from 1993 and selected as a Fulbright Scholar and Fulbright Senior Specialist to work with museums in the Republic of Georgia and Mongolia in 2001-2002 and 2004.

Artist, Writer and Speaker: has written articles for Waco Tribune-Herald (reaching 150,000 each issue) as one of 32 Board of Contributors, asked to give lecture at 1996 Texas and American Association of Museums, and asked to write articles for the Texas Association of Museum’s Musline Magazine in 1990s. Wrote articles for Waco Today (monthly magazine for Central Texas) from 1998-2003. Has written editorials for newspapers as guest writer for over 50 years.

Artistic skills: has exhibited in over 600 national and international exhibitions; chosen by the American Embassy of Georgia to represent the United States at an International Plenary of Artists in Kutaisi, Georgia (20 artists from all over Europe and myself attended a month-long workshop), September 2001 (American Embassy of Georgia bought two 60" x 60" paintings for their walls); won awards in painting and sculpture nationally and internationally; selected by the Texas Commission on the Arts as Artist in Education for Texas from 1997 to the present; have given art skills workshops nationally and internationally to university and high school teachers, administrators, artists, parents and students. A recent work of art was chosen as the cover of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board’s Fulbright Annual Report 2000.
